We visually monitor space objects for governments and defense
HEO Robotics visually monitors satellites for governments and defence. We do this by transforming existing Earth observation satellites with software to image other satellites as they fly close by.
HEO Robotics provides non-Earth imaging capabilities, combining automated software with specialized hardware to deliver high-volume space object imagery and insights for governments, defence, and civil sectors. Their platform enables sovereign non-Earth imaging (NEI) capabilities, on-demand data, and in-orbit insights.
HEO Inspect 3.0 is a web app and API interface that connects in-orbit sensors to a unified control layer, enabling real-time data feasibility assessment, mission tasking, captures, and scaled imagery/insights. HEO builds compact NEI cameras to extend sovereign NEI capability with a minimal non-recurring engineering path, supporting identification, characterisation, satellite monitoring, anomaly detection, and attribution for space objects. The offering includes on-demand NEI data and insights services, and a pathway to image various targets across low-Earth orbit with scalability toward the solar system.

Will has a PhD in Aerospace Engineering, with a focus on the astrodynamics of spacecraft swarms with relation to asteroids. He has won international awards for his work, including the Space Generation Advisory Council's "Move an Asteroid" award in 2015. As CEO of HEO Robotics, Will's highlights include taking the world's second commercial in-orbit inspection photo of a spacecraft. Will loves spending time with family and reading.
Co-founder and CTO - HEO Robotics Hiranya Jayakody is the CTO and co-founder of HEO Robotics. He has a PhD in mechatronics engineering from UNSW Sydney and a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. In addition to HEO Robotics, he worked as a researcher at UNSW Sydney focusing on computer vision and machine learning for agriculture as well as robust control of aerial vehicles and space robots.
