Voicegem was a voice messaging platform that enabled users to send voice messages to recipients via email, Facebook, and iOS. It evolved from a YC-backed project and later joined Palantir in 2013, with services winding down as part of the acquisition.

Users record voice messages and deliver them to recipients' inboxes or via social channels. Features included a voice feedback widget for developers to embed on websites, a streaming recorder to reduce send latency, and Facebook integration to deliver voice messages directly to recipients. The platform supported sending messages to multiple email addresses and offered a web and iOS app experience.
