We help nurses in nursing homes to be 30% more effective
We go to nursing homes, and we put an internet-connected bed sensor underneath all their beds. Our app gives nurses valuable insights and an overview of all their residents. We reduce fall incidents and bedsores while improving evening and night shift productivity by over 30%. Momo Medical solves the biggest problem affecting nursing homes, staff shortages while increasing the quality of care.
Momo Medical provides a bedside sensor-based app (BedSense) integrated with a caregiving app to give memory care communities real-time resident insights, with the aim of making nursing staff more effective and reducing workload. The solution links a bed sensor to an app that helps caregivers anticipate needs and monitor safety, improving resident rest and staff satisfaction.
BedSense is a bed sensor located underneath the mattress that feeds data into the Momo App. The app offers alerts and insights for each resident, including who is about to leave bed (up to 70 seconds in advance) and current status like who is out of bed or resting safely. Caregivers can customize alerts, view an overview of all residents, and adjust workflows to relieve workload. The system is demonstrated as part of a broader workflow shift toward more personalized, proactive care in memory care communities, with hands-on support during deployment and ongoing collaboration with care staff.
Who it’s for: Memory care communities and nursing homes, including overnight/night shift care teams and clinical managers responsible for resident safety and workflow efficiency.

When I was young I already had a fascination for creating and building things. I collected candle stumps from the neighbors, made new candles from these stumps, and then sold those to the same neighbors. My grandmother was in a nursing home, I decided to join a lot of evening and night shifts. I needed to know how we can help nurses care for the people we deeply love. I found out they still worked with walkie-talkies and sensors that give 50% false alarms. We need to change this.
