Software that increases the value of oil & gas wells
Endla increases the value of oil & gas wells by providing software that helps design the well that maximizes ROI. Our product AlphaSpace, optimizes the well design by automatically producing many high-quality options which the engineer can then measure against their business objectives (auto-design). Having software that finds the optimal solution, empowers the engineer to work a layer up on understanding the problem and specifying the important objectives. Our vision is to make auto-design and auto-operation software part of the workflow for every engineer working with physical assets.
Endla provides a digital factory platform for upstream oil and gas teams to connect data, models, and workflows to improve asset lifetime value. It enables rapid development and evolution of end-to-end workflows from source systems to live operations.
Endla offers a modular platform with templates and workflow surfaces that connect source systems (well masters, GIS, historians, and operations events) to governed asset models. Users build and extend workflows, write user-defined functions, and run automation and AI-assisted decisions across hydraulic, well design, and frac engines. The platform supports model templates (network model, production surveillance, scenario analysis, exception review), a workflow builder, and domain engines with data lineage, code authoring, and reusable operating components. It emphasizes a digital factory foundation that scales from initial value to broader workflow expansion while maintaining a governed, composable architecture.
Who it’s for: Upstream oil and gas engineering teams and operations groups seeking to accelerate value from engineering studies to live operations by connecting data, models, and workflows into a digital factory.
Hiring/traction mentions implied by enterprise-ready references and customer-led stories; references to 1,000+ wells designed and industry use imply product-market traction.
I worked in industry as a process engineer and built internal software to help my team do its job at both ExxonMobil and Santos. I saw the benefit of the software first hand, however, I also saw that these organisations were unable to maintain it long term. I'm passionate about combining engineer and software skill sets to address these shortcomings and help move the traditional engineering sector forwards.
I’m a software specialist with a strong software architecture and mathematics background. Before Endla I consulted on software and infrastructure architecture design to solve pressing problems for businesses of all sizes. Through this I have seen many ways which software fails and how to avoid these issues. I cofounded Endla with Riley to solve a class of problems in a high value and underserviced industry, bringing the energy industry forward.
