These are analogous to the SAFE, but are between customers and vendors rather than investors and startups. The standardized format means that data within contracts is structured from inception. We build software for managing standard contracts, accelerating sales cycles, and making the data within the contracts programmatically accessible to other business systems. Tens of thousands of people have downloaded our standard contracts, and 63% of the contracts on our system close within 24 hours.

Users create and manage contracts from standard templates, then leverage AI negotiation agents to negotiate, sign, and manage contracts within a unified workflow. The product includes contract creation from templates, integrated negotiation and e-signature, automated billing workflows, and storage/exports (PDF/DOCX) with options for branding, roles, and integrations (e.g., Google Drive/Box/Dropbox, and various SaaS integrations). Pricing tiers unlock features such as multiple users, custom branding, workflow automations, and API/integration capabilities; enterprise offers custom configurations and pricing.

Jake Stein is co-founder and CEO of Common Paper. Previously, he was co-founder of RJMetrics (acquired by Magento, then Adobe) and Stitch (acquired by Talend). Before RJMetrics, Jake worked in venture capital, started a landscaping business in high school, and was the 44th ranked table tennis player under 21 in New Jersey; achievements of which he is equally proud.
