The global community for the South Asia-curious
The Juggernaut is a NY-based consumer subscription company and community for the South Asia-curious. Targeted subscription media is a valuable bet: Black Entertainment Television (BET) sold to Viacom for $2.3b in 2000 and Liberty Media valued Univision at $14b in 2017. The U.S. South Asia diaspora alone has over $1 trillion of spending power and is the fastest growing demographic in the U.S., yet is underserved. We're backed by some incredible investors, including Precursor Ventures (also in The Athletic, Superhuman), Kevin Lin (co-founder, Twitch), Adam Hansmann (co-founder, The Athletic), and Balaji Srinivasan (ex-Coinbase CTO, ex-GP a16z).
The Juggernaut is a publication that tells in-depth, nuanced South Asian stories for a global audience. It operates a subscription-based model delivering weekly newsletters and curated longreads, with additional editorial content across culture, politics, health, and more.
The product is a digital media publication offering in-depth articles, editor's picks, longreads, and a weekly newsletter. Users can subscribe to receive curated South Asian news and features weekly, with content organized by categories such as Culture, Politics, Health, and Food. The site showcases featured stories, editorials, and long-form pieces, and provides a newsletter signup to deliver the content directly to subscribers.
Who it’s for: South Asia–curious readers worldwide who subscribe to in-depth journalism and culture/issue-focused storytelling about South Asian communities.
