RescueTime provides two primary tools in one app: RescueTime Focus, which automatically tracks time spent on apps and websites, allows goal setting, alerts, and distraction blocking; and RescueTime Timesheets, which automates time tracking by client, project, or task, generating timesheets and reports for clients or managers. Teams can use Focus with team-wide visibility and scheduling insights, while Timesheets adds project and billing-oriented capabilities with filtering by team, member, project, and more. The product supports solo and team modes, real-time insights, and report generation for invoicing and planning.

I've been a product engineer for over 20 years, working across all platforms: web, mobile, and desktop; and across many languages, including: Java, PHP, Ruby, C++, Swift, Javascript, and more. I've worked with more than 10 startups and founded 5, including RescueTime, which went through Y Combinator in 2008. I also helped start Madrona Venture Labs, the incubation arm of investment firm Madrona Venture Group.
