Since its inception, NS has raised over $80 million to build thousands of homes across Latin America and impact ~20,000 individuals. In 2021, NS launched a venture capital fund, Hometeam Ventures, focused on early-stage construction and housing innovations. NS graduated from Y Combinator and is a 4x recipient of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Company.
New Story is a nonprofit that develops land and infrastructure to enable families to own land and obtain homes through a staged process, including land financing, title transfer, and home loans. It combines philanthropy, impact investing, and corporate partnerships to scale housing solutions in underserved communities.
The program finances and develops underused land, builds essential infrastructure, and enables land ownership through small monthly payments that lead to a legal title within 24 months. With land as collateral, families can build credit and qualify for home loans, using the resulting ownership to unlock additional financing and create pathways to affordable housing.
