Maximal is a planning agent for commercial truck fleets
Today, commercial trucking fleets make planning and dispatch decisions on gut feel and legacy tooling. Their margin is dictated by their planner's cognitive capacity. Maximal gives carriers an AI planning system that sources loads, creates plans, and automatically adjusts as changes happen. Maximal lets carriers run at the margin of our simulation engine + agents. Leeds (CEO) studied operations research + computer science at Cornell and Columbia and his family runs a 3PL. He worked on the algorithm's that power Amazon’s robotics in distribution centers and he was the 1st PM at Golden (acquired) and 7th PM at Alchemy (a16z, Coatue). Derek (CTO) studied computer science at USC, was founding engineer at Kits AI (acquired), and was the youngest tech lead in his department at Amazon.
Maximal is an AI-native planning and dispatch platform for trucking fleets that aims to optimize routes and schedules across an entire fleet to increase revenue per mile. It emphasizes custom models per fleet, integration with existing systems, and 24/7 support.
The product provides an AI planning engine that analyzes inbound loads, surfaces fits, and helps plan, adjust, and analyze fleet operations. It offers a custom model tailored to each fleet, white-glove implementation to work with messy data without ripping out current tools, 24/7 world-class support, and security with SOC-2 and encryption. It integrates with other systems via multiple platform integrations and focuses on day-to-day operational planning with consideration for live constraints and exceptions.
Who it’s for: Commercial trucking carriers and fleets looking to optimize planning and dispatch with custom AI models and integration into existing workflows.
Hiring/traction mentions not explicit; references to integrations, custom models, white-glove services, and a free consultation imply growth and market adoption.
