Build Backends. Fast.
Our Mission 🎯 At Shuttle, we’re on a mission to revolutionise developer experience for building web apps. Everything we do is about crafting an exceptionally simple, satisfying and effective way to do cloud development. We are open source community-driven and loved by thousands of engineers. Our vision: the ultimate platform to supercharge developers’ productivity. About Shuttle 🚀 Shuttle is the cloud infrastructure platform for developers building with Cursor and GitHub Copilot. We make it simple to ship reliable and scalable backends, so developers can focus on creating great products. Over 20,000 developers use Shuttle to build and deploy Rust backends in minutes, and we’re now bringing the same zero-config experience to every developer. As AI tools like Cursor and GitHub Copilot accelerate coding, infrastructure is becoming the bottleneck - Shuttle removes it.
Shuttle enables building backends without writing infrastructure files by deriving cloud resources from code annotations in Rust. It provisions and deploys the app to a cloud environment while handling infrastructure, databases, secrets, and logging automatically.
You write Rust service code and annotate your main function. Shuttle packages and compiles your code on its servers, deploys it to the cloud, and then provisions required resources (databases, secrets, storage) based on additional annotations or function arguments. redeploys use cached builds for speed, and you can deploy to your own cloud or run Shuttle locally. It supports building apps with various Rust frameworks and integrates with frontend hosting solutions; no infra config is needed from you.
Who it’s for: developers building backends in Rust, including those using JS-friendly workflows, and teams wanting zero-infra setup for Rust services
community-driven, with notable adoption on GitHub/Discord; mention of thousands of developers and multiple contributors
Founder and CEO at Shuttle. Previously worked at Google and led trading for an ML-driven quant hedge fund.
