AI mission systems
We are making AI mission systems for the modern battlefield. Our first product - EDDA - is a small, low power, low cost fully autonomous-capable counter drone system. It's designed to be used on vehicles, bases, or carried - to stop group 1 suicide drones. We have multiple contracts, sales, etc. We have 3 more products with demand in various stages of development. 9 Mothers is a defense-focused company developing AI-powered counter-drone systems. Their first product, Edda, is an autonomous-capable point defense turret designed for fast FPV drones, with a broader product line planned for 2027 and beyond.
Edda is an AI-enabled point-defense turret that autonomously detects and engages small FPV drones at 10β100+ meters using a shotgun effector, lightweight mechanical form factor (~23 kg), and fast motion platform (5Β° in under 15 ms with 1.5 arcmin tracking). Detection combines passive acoustic sensing of intrinsic drone acoustics with a in-house developed visual model for fine targeting, all with zero RF emission. The system is designed to work in a kill chain with accompanying sensors (Vor passive acoustic sensor; Atla belt-fed system) to address fast, swarming, low-cost drones. Additional products (Vor, Atla, Gleipnir) are planned or available in specific timeframes and serve in different engagement regimes and group classifications.
Who itβs for: U.S. Government and prime contractors (defense sector) seeking autonomous, rapid-response C-sUAS capabilities for high-speed FPV drone threats.
Active hiring with multiple senior engineering roles listed; government/prime contractor sales noted; ongoing product development with several components planned or shipping (Edda shipping now, Vor/Atla planned for 2027).
